acoustic rock duo
Well, the Pandemic has put some brakes to all our lives, but we're making the best of it. We've been working from home and around our home. We've completed many non-musical projects, but have been working on recording a "meet the bacons" album, as well. Recorded at home and at a distance with some very special guests, we are excited about the progress. We'll keep you updated, but we still have quite a bit of work to accomplish. The distance recording model is a little more difficult than having everyone in the same room. We are thankful for the ability to record with people that we can't be with right now. It makes us feel closer. Stay healthy and appreciate the little things. Peace!

“meet the bacons” is the husband and wife acoustic duo of Joe and Robin Bacon. They have a sound composed of charming vocal harmonies backed with guitar, harmonica and hand percussion.“meet the bacons” play songs by others that have intrigued and inspired them over the years, as well as plenty of crowd favorites.
“meet the bacons” also write and perform their own songs, with stories about New Orleans street parades, love cherished and abandoned, memories sparked by misplaced funeral cards, disconnected veterans of war, working musician woes, rye whiskey and the beauty of a love and her colorful dresses.
“meet the bacons” are from Buffalo, NY and draw influences from many great vocal duos, like Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, Simon and Garfunkel, Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris, and Shovels and Rope. They play music styles that span classic country, rock, bluegrass, blues and folk (more easily described as Americana music).
"meet the Bacons" play live at festivals, concerts, taverns, restaurants, patios and parks and wherever the music takes them.
Joe and Robin also play together in in the four-piece Americana, Country, Rock, World music band, "The Restless Soles" (Facebook.com/therestlesssoles) and the four-piece Celtic Rock Band, "Poor Ould Goat" (Facebook.com/poorouldgoat)
